Krina is a composer, arranger, educator and performer. She finished her degree in Choral Conducting at the UP College of Music (2010), summa cum laude. She was an instructor at the New Era University College of Music where she taught Philippine Music and Fundamentals of Conducting (2011-2012). From 2012-2015, she was a faculty member of the University of the Philippines’ Department of Art Studies at the College of Arts and Letters. As a composer and arranger, her works include the original composition for Ang Huling Lagda ni Apolinario Mabini (2014, Dulaang UP); a jazz arrangement of Handel’s Messiah performed by the UP Jazz Ensemble and the choral groups of UP (2014), and new arrangements for choir, string quintet and piano of Nicanor Abelardo’s kundimans (2015). Krina currently performs with and arranges for the female vocal trio, Baihana, whom she has participated with in both local and international shows and jazz festivals. Her contribution to the starting a cappella community in the country has made her the Philippine Ambassador for the international organization, Contemporary A Cappella Society. Krina teaches voice, music theory and children’s music and movement class at The Music School of Ryan Cayabyab. She is currently pursuing her graduate degree in Musicology at the UP College of Music.
