JOSEPH CARRILLO

VOICE - Teacher

Joseph L. Carrillo graduated at the Royal Pontifical Catholic University of Sto. Tomas with a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education, voice Emphasis. He started his Musical interest as a member of Eucharistic Crusaders of Saint Anthony(ECSA) a choir from National shrine of Saint Anthony Pila, Laguna, During his High School years and later on He become the conductor of the said group. He is a former member of Klassikal Music Foundation (KMF), a foundation that gives Scholarship grant for Young aspiring singers, Founded by Dr. George Yung Founder of McDonalds Philippines. He is a former member of Liturgikon Vocal Ensemble a Liturgical Choir of UST Conservatory of Music that gave him privileges to perform in several concerts, musicals and Operas

His performances include, “Lord Takayama Ukon” Opera composed by Fr. Manuel Maramba, OSB in 2003 at Philam Life Auditorium, “ Bukas may Liwanag” a sarswela composed by Dr. Rose Portollano in 2005 at UST Albertus Magnus Auditorium, “Something to Crow About” a Sarswela written by Dr. Alejandro Roces, directed by Mrs. Cecille Guidote Alvarez in 2006 at Emilio Aguinaldo college Auditorium, “Eugene Onegin” an Opera composed by Peter Tchaikovsky directed by Mr. Floy Quintos in 2006 at Main Theatre Cultural Center of the Philippines, “Die Fledermause, an Operetta composed by Johann Strauss directed by Mr. Floy Quintos in 2008 at Main Theatre, Cultural Center of the Philippines. In 2016 Joseph was invited by Singapore Lyric Opera Company to be a part of Singapore Lyric Opera Male chorus in “Turando” Opera production at Splanade Singapore.

Joseph is currently teaching at The Music School of Ryan Cayabyab (TMSRC) as Vocal Coach. currently teaching as a part time Music and Arts Professor in (BEED) Bachelor in Elementary Education Department at Laguna States Polytechnic University (LSPU) Liliw Laguna Pilot extension of Sta. Cruz Laguna (Main). He was also a part time In-house artist of Venetian Macau Casino Entertainment (2018-2020) and a member of Vocalismo Choral Group (VCG) a Professional Vocal Ensemble that toured around the Philippines, Asia and Canada.
